I work with Larry from BA & Garvin from Superannuation. We do a lot of work for clients who are nearing retirement. These clients have businesses that ... Nevermind... I work in BA.

Pros and cons of working at Nexia Sydney

Pros

  • The best thing about working at Nexia is the supportive environment in the division that encourages both personal/professional growth.

  • My work hours are very flexible and I have always been encouraged to start early as I am a morning person.

  • The people, at Nexia the relationships you build is something truly extraordinary and will last a lifetime.

  • I started at Nexia as a cadet just over 2 and a half years ago. I am now finished University and I am an Intermediate.

  • There’s a lot of training provided especially for graduates/junior staff.

Cons

    • I really don't like working past 5pm. I understand the need to do so at times to complete client work.

    • Some of the work can be repetitive but this is to be expected at any firm.

    • The workload is quite heavy too during the busy season.

    • I wish I got a bit more mentorship in my early days. I felt a bit on my own without my direct manager guiding me

    • The hours are quite long the more senior you get. However, it is rewarding at the end of it all.
